The Medal of Honor

Every morning you wake up remembering that day you save the life of one of your follow soldier, when you risk your life and gave everything up for the life of the person you worked with. Remembering the last thing you said to your family members and thinking if you are ever going to see them again. These thought and memories still did not stop you. You put your mind on something and did it that is why you are now a Medal of Honor winner.
The medal to me means that you are the bravest of the bravest, that you are caring and heroic. It’s having the highest honor. I believe this because the recipients risk their lives to save others. Also they save some bodies lives so they are a hero and they must have cared about all the people to risk there lives to save them. Because of there action I believe that they deserve having the highest honor for saving other lives.
The Medal of Honor is given by the president to the bravest soldiers. These soldiers have to make an important decision of risking there lives to save the lives of other. The most amazing part was that some soldiers did not even thing about it because they already knew that what to do.
To me the statement “sometimes it is easier winning the metal of honor than to wear it” means that they do not want to be know for something they did because everybody could have done it. I also believe that it takes a very heroic person to stand up for something they believe strongly about. Maybe anybody could have it done but nobody got up but you.
In conclusion I think that the Medal of Honor mean that you are very heroic and is only given to the bravest soldiers that risk their lives to save others. Even though some of the winners of the medal say that it was easier to win the medal than to wear it I believe that it is one of the most highest honor given to a soldier and should be put on with pride. Also some say that they did not want to be known for something they did because everybody could have done it but it takes a very brave and heroic person to stand up and do what they did. Thank you for being brave soldier it makes me proud to be an American.
